Schools – we need your help to evaluate the Year of Food and Farming

Since September 2007 the Year of Food and Farming has been helping children to find out more about the countryside and where their food comes from.

The Year was designed to give children direct experience of cooking, growing food and seeing food produced. Teachers have been given opportunities to engage pupils in a range of topics relevant to different curriculum areas.

As the Year is drawing to an end we are asking teachers that have taken part in the ‘Year’ to complete a quick and simple survey by 1st August 2008. This will only take you a couple of minutes to complete but will provide us with an invaluable source of information to help us continue to provide these types of activities for you in the future.

The results of this evaluation will be published in the autumn. Please keep visiting www.yearoffoodandfarming.org.uk for details of new and exciting opportunities for schools in the new academic year.
