About the year
The Year and the Curriculum
The Year of Food and Farming will provide exciting and memorable opportunities to engage young people of all ages in:
- PSHE
- Science
- Design and Technology
- Geography
- as well as other curriculum areas.
It will help your school to achieve the Healthy Schools Standard, as well as supporting the Learning outside the
classroom manifesto.
The Year will give schools the chance to showcase their work and share ideas with other schools. It will also help to
create strong links between schools and food and farming businesses, and provide educational materials that will last
beyond the Year itself.
