The RHS Campaign for School Gardening
The RHS aims to get 80% of schools involved in gardening by 2012. On 19 September 2007 we are launching the exciting new campaign - ‘The RHS Campaign for School Gardening’. This is based round an interactive website which will provide inspiration, advice and resources to teachers and others who want to set up a school garden with a benchmarking scheme, resource sheets, lesson plans, risk assessments and rewards for achievement. There will also be an exciting and fun section for students. The website will be followed by a national network of regional advisors building across the country who will provide direct support to schools. This Campaign will support and encourage all growing activities in schools, is backed by the RHS's knowledge and expertise and builds on our existing work with schools and CPD training for teachers. Watch the website for more information and find out how to register and get your school growing.
