Schools project at the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum
Jennie Peel, Schools Services Manager at the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum near Chichester is running a year long project with three schools to reconnect young people with the seasonality of their food and help them to appreciate the importance of farming, the countryside and the environment. They are Primary, Secondary and S.E.N. children who will have unlimited access to the Museum and resources throughout the year and the work will culminate in a Teachers Conference in June 2008 and extra resources for other schools via the Museum’s website (www.wealddown.co.uk).
