The Grain Chain is a website for 5-16 year-olds, including interactive whiteboard activities, information pages, activity sheets, video clips, quizzes, case studies and recipes. Grains are used to make flours, breads, breakfast cereals and a wide range of other foods. The website explores the 'grain chain': you can find out how grains are grown and harvested, what happens to them before they reach your plate, and why they're so good for you! You can also investigate healthy eating and meal planning, or go behind the scenes of the flour, grain and baking industry.
