Newham City Farm is located in the south of the London Borough of Newham, near the Royal Docks area of the London Docklands. The farm was set up in 1977 and is funded by Newham Council.
The farm aims to be an excellent community facility, providing educational and leisure opportunities free of charge to visitors. We have several rare breeds, including goats, pigs and cows. Blaze, our working Shire horse, is ever popular with visitors due to his substantial size and gentle nature.
We also offer school visits where children can take part in tours and various workshops. Schools and groups can also hire the Visitor Centre classroom for activities or as a base for exploring the farm.
Our cafe in the adjacent park is run in partnership with a project for adults with learning difficulties. It is currently closed for the Winter and should be re-opening at the end of February.
